Mia Lovell's Journey

Most of you already know the details of our long adoption journey. Therefore, I'll spare you the history and pick up with the most important details, the final steps to actually getting our beautiful little girl, Mia!

After almost 3 years of waiting, we finally received our match on August 3rd! Our little bundle of joy was born on January 29, 2007. She is awaiting our arrival at the Yangxi orphanage in Southern China...

We will depart for China on Wed, Sept. 12th, arriving on Friday afternoon, Sept. 14. Quite a long trip... (The time zone is 15 hours ahead of Arizona.) We will be spend our first 3 days in Beijing touring the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square & The Forbidden City. On Monday, Sept. 17th we will fly South to Guangzhou and finally get our little girl! We will then spend the next 11 days staying at the White Swan Hotel, while making daily visits to the US Embassy to secure Mia's Passport, necessary medical checks, etc.

We depart for America on Friday evening, Sept. 28th, returning at around 11:00 pm on the same day.

Please begin checking back on Friday, Sept. 14 as we'll be providing daily updates... Thanks again for your support.

Go get her!!! Yahoo!! I'll be rolling and smoking one for you guys. Enjoy that long ride.

It's real clean in China, lots of room, not too many people...Mike, you should have fun! I am sure their idea of "service" is the same as yours!

Holy shit, you guys are going to get your little girl!!!

All the best wishes from NL,

I have to agree about China's idea of service probably not being the same as Mike's but I could be wrong!!!!

How lucky are we to be living next door!!! I'll meet you at your garage when you pull in at midnight on the 29th!!! Blaise and Madi can't wait to meet her, and of course, we'll watch her while you guys are at the gym.

Love you,
Nancy, Eben, Blaise, and Madeleine
