Hoochie Momma!

Any of you who have visited our home can attest to Mia's obsession with shoes... Jackie came over after work the other night and when she kicked off her shoes, Mia pounced! It was absolutely hysterical to see her shuffling around the house in these big old high heel shoes. She had a ball... She's our little hoochie midget!

Firewoman Mia!

We are proud to introduce Arizona's most recent Fire Midget! On Friday Mommy & Mia had an FCC play group outing at Fun Time. Mia put on the fireman hat and big yellow boots and trapsed all over the place. She is so silly... I'm thinking the way she has her hat cocked she may have a future as a gangster fireman!

The Swim Goddess...

This weekend was a hot one! With Frank & Sandy visiting, we spent the better part of the weekend lounging in the pool. As you can see, Mia commandeered the pool chair and made like Cleopatra! Very fitting for the Princess...

The Midget Supports our Troops!

This weekend Frank & Sandy drove in from San Diego for a visit. Frank is about to head off to Iraq for his 5th Tour as a Cobra helicopter pilot for the Marines! They were great with Mia and she had so much fun swimming and playing Wii all weekend... Mia, as well as Mommy & Daddy, are very thankful to have such brave warriors protecting our country and wish Frank a safe mission and a quick trip home!

Momma's Medal

Mommy ran in a 12k while in Napa Valley this past weekend. Not only did she do amazingly well, but she brought home a medal for the Midget. Mia has been running around the house showing her pride in Momma!

Always Thinking Ahead...

As you're all well aware by now, Mia is obsessed with cruising around the house in her car. Well, to be precise, obsessed with having Daddy push her around the house in her car... Anyhow, Mia, being the ever so practical midget, has taken to placing a snack cup and water bottle in her trunk in case she develops a flat tire and gets stuck on the side of the road, er hallway?! She really is amazingly observant, and mimics everything she sees... As you may have guessed by now, she's the best!!

Momma's Home!!!

Boy did we miss our Momma! Here is a picture of Mommy catching the Midget up on her oral hygiene since Daddy may have slipped a bit while ensuring the basic needs were met... We sure had a great time together, but we're glad to be a family unit again! We love you Mommy.

We Miss Momma!

This weekend Mia & Daddy had their first true alone time! Momma went to Napa for 3 days with Christine & Megan to run in a race and drink some good wine. Here is a picture of Mia cruising around the house and wishing Mommy was around to entertain us... In all seriousness, we've had an absolute blast. Several trips to the pool at the Club and a visit to Russell & Sascha's didn't hurt any.

This is Daddy's first experience of being completely responsible for Mia morning, noon & night. It's extremely tiring, but incredibly rewarding. Every minute spent with the Midget is a minute spent doing exactly what we should all be doing with our lives... Loving, laughing & living! Nothing is more rewarding.

Who Me?!

Mommy made Daddy tear out all the grass in the back yard and replace it with synthetic grass, aka lawn carpet. So what was the first thing Mia did to the new lawn carpet? Yep, she dug out cups full of rocks and dumped them on the lawn! How precious. This picture was taken when Daddy asked little Mia if she was the culprit... Who me?!

Cruisin...

Mia likes to take Mary Bear for a ride on those hot afternoons when she's stuck indoors! We're petitioning the BMV to try and get an exemption so that Mia can get her drivers license a little early. Like maybe by 18 months...

First Shower!

Mia took her first shower while we were in Montana. Mommy & Daddy fought over who got to shower with her, so Mommy took the first night and then we alternated from there... It was such an amazing experience to have her cute little body cuddled up against us in the shower! She was so tired one night that she laid her head on my shoulder and closed her eyes while the water hit her. She's the best! Note the cute little belly... (on her!)

Rodeo Girl

Mia attended her first rodeo this past weekend. The 'Livingston Round Up' was so much fun! Between the bucking broncs and all the Coors Original, Mia has decided she prefers the good living of the West to city life...

Beatiful Country Girls...

Mommy & Mia lighting up Montana. No matter where they go they are the most beautiful girls in town...

Cowgirl Mia!

If I didn't know better I'd have thought she was born in Montana! What a cutie... Oh, and did I mention that Mia now has two pairs of cowboy boots?! Yep, had to have a pink pair and a tan pair...

First Fireworks!!

Mia got to see her first 4th of July fireworks show at the Ranch! She was a little tentative with the noise and explosions, but seemed to enjoy it for the most part. Just a little clingy, but we never mind that...

Playtime at the Ranch!

Eben & Nancy, along with their whole family, had us up to their beautiful ranch in Montana for the long holiday weekend. Hubbards Yellowstone Lodge is one of the most beautiful and relaxing places we've ever been. It is always a great time and their whole family are always amazingly gracious. Finally having Mia with us this year made it even more special... Mia always has so much fun playing with Blaze & Madi, and this year their cousin Sita was also there to to entertain our crazy kid! They rolled down the grassy hills, filled their pockets with rocks and played until they could hardly stand any longer. During the 4th of July cookout all the kids were getting sprayed with water through the kitchen window by the ranch hands doing the dishes, and Mia jumped right. She got all wet and started jumping up and down gigglng so much I thought she was going to fall down! It means so much to us to see Mia smiling and giggling and having so much fun with all the other kids. There isn't a better feeling in the world... We're very lucky to be surrounded by so many good friends!

Happy 4th of July from our Newest Citizen!!

This was Mia's first Independence Day as an American citizen! We had a wonderful cook out at the ranch on the evening of the 4th, followed by some spectacular fireworks. We couldn't have dreamed of a more relaxing and fulfilling holiday with our American midget!!

Crazy Lazy!

It is absolutely unbelievable how much Mia takes after us as time goes on... Specifically Daddy! After a nice long nap on a hot Montana afternoon, Mia woke up, propped herself up on the pillows and dug into a bag of pretzels. I wish we could show you a film as it was truly hysterical. She was an old man in a cute little girls body!! Note that her arm is stuck in the pretzel bag at the moment...

First Tattoo!

Mia got her first tattoo while in Montana. Or a 'stamper' as she like to call it! It was a cute little elephant and she spent the evening walking around doing her elephant noise. Which is interesting since we never taught her what an elephant sounds like. She's good at improvising!

Another Hair Cut...

Momma took Mia for her second hair cut today! She sat so pretty this time... It didn't hurt that this salon was geared towards kids and had about a dozen things going on to distract her. She was rewarded with a sucker for being such a little sweetie. How cute are the bangs and pig tails?!

Silly Face...

Yet another one of Mia's crazy little cute expressions!!

New Toys!

Seeing as Mia is such a deprived child, Mom decided to out on Sunday morning and replace all of the toys in the house! I'm not kidding... At first I thought it was a crazy move, but when I saw how rejuvenated Mia's interest is in all of her toys, I have to agree it was a smart move. This time of year it's tough to play outside because it's so hot, so Mia has been cruising around the house in her new car, taking Mary Bear for rides...
