Silly Spectacles!

This weekend we went to the Circus with Mia's best friend, Taylor, and her Mommy & Daddy, Kim & Steve. We had an absolute blast. Beforehand we stopped off for lunch at a place Mia loves, because they give out wax string to play with. Here is Mia's home made designer glasses! Doesn't she look smart?! Silly...

The city of Scottsdale has a great train park that hosts a concert series each spring, on Sunday nights. Mia loves to run around in the grass, playing and dancing! It's so much fun, and great little escape before the new week begins... Here's the midget doing her happy dance! What a beauty...

Swim Party!

Last weekend Mommy & Daddy decided to get a little R&R to celebrate Father's Day! Grandma drove all the way from Colorado, along with her sweet friend Gail, to watch all the kids for the weekend. Mommy & Daddy then checked into a local hotel for a make believe vacation... It's amazing, as excited as we were to get away and relax, we couldn't even go a day without seeing the kids! On both Sat and Sun afternoon we picked Mia up and brought her back to the pool to hang with us. Here she was posing as the Sun Goddess, just prior to burying her face in a tub of ice cream! She's the best, and our relaxation was all the more enjoyable since she was with us... It was really nice knowing that the kids were being well cared for, or more likely spoiled rotten by by Grandma & Gail!!

Slumber Party!

Grandma came to town, with her friend Gail, to watch all the kids while Mommy & Daddy check into a local hotel for the weekend for a little R&R. Mia was sweet enough to give up her bed to Grandma, so she made a nest next to Mommy & Daddy's best and has never been so excited to go to bed!! Here she is fresh from making her nest, and trying it out for comfort! This is a far superior idea than the midget kicking Daddy in the side of the head all night...

My Boy!

That's one damn fine looking young man!

Pretty Girl...

With those chipmunk cheeks!

Daddy came home from work the other night to find a whole herd of children sprawled out and snoozing on the floor! Note Momma kicking back on the phone... Rough life these kids have!

Baby Feeding!

Aunt Cathy has been very helpful these past few months! Here she is doing double duty with the newest midgets...

Dance Recital!!

Mia had her first real dance recital this weekend! It was very exciting... They held the recital at a local high school and there were several hundred people in attendance. Mia came out with her hair curled and her cute little outfit, and proceeded to steal the show! She had been preparing for weeks and was so proud to have so many family and friends there to see her... Thanks to all who came to support our midget! Afterwards, Sascha presented Mia with a flower, which was too cute! Then Grammy & Papa took us all out for a fantastic lunch. We're very proud of our midget!

Summer Camp!

Mia is doing a gymnastics based summer camp with her best friend, Taylor! It's so amazing to see her growing level of autonomy. Here are the two cuties getting instruction... Note Taylor's pig tails. When they began hanging out, Mia had pig tails and Taylor sported a pony tail. In short order Mia began demanding her hair be put in a pony tail and Taylor insisted on a piggy tails. Their affection is so sweet...

Protein Shakes!

Mia is in a protein shake phase! Every day after work Daddy assembles the necessary fruits & vegetables while Mia determines which she feels like eating today. She then works the blender and takes great pride in drinking her fruity concoction in the same mandatory cup and straw! The model of health that child...

The Chubsters Continue to Grow!

Here are our super human children! They are now officially 16 weeks old, but really only 6 weeks old based on full gestation. Yet they weigh a whopping 13 pounds!! The same weight as Mia at 7 months. This picture is somewhat deceptive, as it hides the fact that Aubrey's cheeks could hide a watermelon... They truly are doing amazing. Just this past week we finally began to see a light at the end of tunnel, with regards to sleep. Everyone told us 12 lbs was the magic number, and they were right! We swaddle them up tight and put them to bed about 9 pm, and they sleep soundly until 4 or 5 am. Trust me, that is huge break through!! They are great children...

Play Time with Carmely!!

There is no shortage of great people in Mia's life. However, there is one who remains very special to her... Carmely!!!!! Carmel has been baby sitting Mia since she was a tiny baby. She does an amazing job of balancing structure with child like play time! Mia sure appreciates it. If she goes a few weeks without seeing Carmel she begins asking for her. It's so sweet to watch them play together and to see the love Mia has for her... Here they are playing dress up, Mia's latest favorite game!!

Tool Time!

We're pretty sure that the midget is a Tom Boy! Don't think for a moment that Daddy isn't thrilled about that... The other night she was very upset that she didn't have a tool belt. Daddy figured he better hurry and come up with something creative, or Momma would be off to the store buying yet another toy for the oh so spoiled child... Isn't she cute as a carpenter?!

The Ultimate Angel...

Have I mentioned that Mia may be the most amazing child on Earth?!?! She is so sweet & gentle with her brother & sister that it continues to amaze us... Well, short of a few spinning kicks to the head during random cart wheels! But hey, who can blame a girl? She needs space to perform at the level she's reached. Truly, Mia has still not shown a single shred of jealously or impatience.

Mia is now in private swimming lessons and did the back stroke all the way across the pool the other day!! Yippeeee, that is very exciting news for us... She wrapped up her second year of pre-school and started summer camp this week. Her best friend, Taylor, is in camp with her, so she can't wait to get out of the house each morning. Her academic prowess continues to accelerate at a staggering rate. Virtually on her own, with the help of the videos & toys Mommy brought home, Mia has taught herself the sound of each letter & how to spell each of our names. I'm curious if all of these milestones will seem so epic the second and third time around... Poor Brandon & Aubrey, we'll always be so amazed by Mia's brilliance, and then wonder why they are delayed... Heeee heeee

Chubby Baby!

Just thought I'd throw in this picture of fat Brandon to show how much these chubby babies have grown! It's amazing the rate of their growth... I look back at 3 lb pictures of them and barely recognize those babies! The funny part is that Brandon is the skinny one. I fear to even post a picture of chubby Aubrey, as you would think we're over feeding these chunks! Isn't he cute?! He's always got some kind of old man expression going on... He's a crack up!

Lazy Days...

This is pretty much the way the twins spend their days... Daddy is a bit envious! Now that they have passed the 10 lb mark, they really enjoy their 'tummy time'. My apologies for being a little slow on the blog posting. Unfortunately these little people are bit more effort than we expected! That might be the understatement of a life time. Don't get me wrong, they are an absoute blast, but going from one to three is certainly a major change! Aubrey is an angel. She eats well, sleeps well and loves to be held when we have a spare moment. Brandon, on the other hand, definitely takes after his father! He's needy, cranky and demands attention at all times... In fairness to him, he has reflux which makes him uncomfortable most of the time, but appears to improve when we are holding him and rubbing his back. So, that's what we do about 20 hours a day! As always, Mommy is a model of patience and love. Mia continues to amaze us with her patient & loving attitude towards her brother & sister. She truly is the ideal big sister! Would you expect any less from such a perfet child? We are so lucky to have three incredible children...

Multi Talented!

Tell me this Mom doesn't know what she's doing?! It's truly amazing coming home to find Stacy balancing two kids on her lap while verbally entertaining Mia... These kids sure are a hand full, but Momma does an amazing job!
