Pool time with Aunt Chrisy!

Mia's Aunt Chrisy flew in from LA this weekend to spend a little quality time with the Midget! As you can see, the girls were having quite a party in the pool... Mia is becoming quite the swimmer, and loves the water.

Silly Face!

Mia is very into mimicking our facial expressions now! This is the latest. We call it the 'make up' face, as she learned it while watching Mommy put on powder and lipstick... Her little personality is blossoming like you can't believe! It's so much funny watching her become a crazy little person! Our crazy little person...

Pigtails!!

Momma has been waiting so patiently for the day when she could put pig tails in Mia's hair. Well, this week Mia officially became a little girl... She looks so amazingly cute, doesn't she?!

Chillin'...

It was a quick weekend in Colorado, and Mia decided she needed a little down time. She insisted we get her her own room for a little privacy. When we checked on her she had just polished off some room service cheese cake and was catching up on some TV. After I took this photo she rubbed her belly, rolled over, and asked me to shut off the television on my way out... Wow they grow up quick!!

Quality Devanny Time...

This past weekend we went to Colorado Springs for a little Memorial Day getaway. We stayed at the Broadmoor hotel, which is a beautiful old place built in 1918. Very much a throwback in time... Pat & Kiki live in Colorado Springs, so we got a chance to hang out with them for dinner, a little pool time, as well as a nice barbecue they hosted at their beautiful new home! Mia had a great time hanging out with their son Colin and twins Shea & Meggie. We had a great time and Mia always gets so excited to meet new friends!

Pool Time with Aunt Cathy!

The hotel pool at the Broadmoor was a little chilly, so Mia was bundled up tight hanging out with Aunty Cathy! Mia is learning words so quickly now, although her favorite word is still 'no'... However, Aunt Cathy holds the distinct honor of being the first proper first name that Mia ever spoke. On Sunday we were all playing in the room and Mia walked up to Aunt Cathy, looked right at her, and said 'Cathy' flawlessly clear. It was so freaky that she spoke it so clearly when most of her words have cute little inflections or altered syllables... She's an absolute genius!

Zoo Time...

Mia got to go to the Colorado Springs zoo with Mommy, Grandma & Grandpa on Saturday morning. (Daddy was sleeping in...) I'm told that Mia had an absolute blast feeding the giraffes. Although she sure hung on tight to Grandma! She had a great time with her Grandparents and is learning new words each day... It's such a fun age.

Crazy Uncle Ryan!

While in Colorado Spring this past weekend Mia learned that Uncle Ryan is a lot of fun... In fact, Uncle Ryan spent so much time chewing on Mia's toes to make her laugh, that every time he would walk in the room she would stick her leg out for him to chew on! She loves playing with her crazy Uncle Ryan.

So Pretty...

While Mommy was getting ready to go out, Mia decided it was time to learn how to apply make up! She had so much fun rubbing Mommy's powder brush on her face... So pretty!

Biker Chicks!

Fred & Stephanie Pizzedaz bought Mia a wooden Harley rocker a few months back. Not only has Mia fallen in love with riding it and makes 'vroom vroom' noises, but she is now onto standing up on the seat or, as shown here, riding on the front tire... Mia & Madi were having fun and Daddy had to spoil it by taking pictures!

New Friends...

While at Caryl's shower on Saturday night her sweet daughter, Marabeth, and a friend were kind enough to watch Mia for us. Here she is getting acquainted with her new babsysitters! Oh, and of course there are the infamous Caryl and Fred. If Caryl were here she'd be saying, "Isn't he handsome?".

Baby Lillie...

Here is Mia visitng with Lillie, Gwen & Teddy's beautiful new baby girl. It was great to catch up with Gwen & Teddy and show them what they have to look forward to by letting our little Midget tear through their house, knocking over the dog's water bowl...

Mia's New Boyfriend...

Caryl's husband, AJ, was just the sweetest with Mia this past weekend. She took to him right away and had non-stop fun playing and flirting! Here they are spending a little quality time watching morning cartoons...

The Pose!

This picture was just too damn cute not to include... This was taken at Caryl & AJ's sons baseball game, in Nashville. Stunning!

Mia's new Best Friend, Ethel...

We travelled to Nashville this weekend for Caryl & AJ's baby shower. They were kind enough to put us up in their beautiful home, so Mia felt it was only appropriate to reciprocate their kindness by feeding their cute little French Bulldog's, Fred & Ethel, all weekend... Here she is seen sharing some breakfast with Ethel. What a giver...

Midget Travel...

I'm happy to announce that Mia is now officially a seasoned traveler! After all the trips we've taken, she has finally settled into an airplane routine. We brought along a DVD player in the slim hope that she might be willing to watch, and sit still. We really thought it was a long shot. Amazingly, she put on her little head set and rocked out to the Wiggles!! It was so freaking cute to see her just hanging out on Mommy's lap all relaxed... She's the best!

Our little OCD Girl...

Our little Mia is taking after her Daddy! She climbed int the shower this morning, all on her own, and proceeded to squeegee the glass clean... We couldn't be more proud of our clean little angel.

All joking aside, it is shocking to see what Mia picks up unexpectedly. Yesterday evening when I got home from work I kicked off my shoes. A few minutes later I watched her pick up my shoes, walk into our closet and place them where they go, perfectly aligned. She amazes me...

Studying China!

Last week we hung a map of China in Mia's room and spent a little time studying Mia's heritage. She was surprisingly interested in the map! Unfortunately we used the same map to pinpoint the recent earthquake...

First Mommy's Day!

It was so great to finally get to celebrate Stacy's first Mother's Day! We had a very relaxing weekend with Grammy & Poppa in Tucson. All except the several hours late on Saturday night when Mia decided to wake up and scream at the top of her lungs, hysterically crying... Yes, that was very relaxing and enjoyable. In fact, it was the first time we've ever reached the point of allowing Mia to cry herself to sleep... A horrific experience, but what do you do when you're left with no options?! Anyhow, back to the better part. On Sunday morning we went for a great brunch with Grammy & Poppa, and Paul & Veronta at a local resort. Mommy's first Mother's Day was so special and Mia couldn't have been any sweeter. Especially since she slept through most of brunch in her stroller! I wonder why she was so tired?! ~

I'm off to Grammy's!

While packing for our trip to see Grammy & Poppa in Tucson, Mia was adamant that she have her own suitcase... After Mommy packed the Princess suitcase, Mia proceeded to drag it all over the house in excitement!! She just couldn't wait to see her Grandparents...

Just a little off the top, please...

Mia's first haircut!! After many attempts at different positions, and juggling Mia back and forth from Mommy to Daddy, we finally got those bangs! Holly was so great and patient with Mia. She just didn't want to part with any of those beautiful locks...

But I don't want my hair cut...

All we wanted was a light trim of the bangs... But no, our little midget wouldn't have any of it! This was one of our first attempts that didn't fly!

Sullivan Visit!

Michelle & Dan were in town with with their kid's Camryn & Connor. They stopped by for a Mia visit, along with Molly & Patrick. Unfortunately Daddy was in Cleveland on business, but Mia & Mommy got to have a great time visiting... Camryn & Connor were so sweet with Mia, and as usual, by the end of the visit she was falling over she was so tired from playing!

Just like Momma...

Our little Midget is so in love with her Mommy that she always has to mimic her... How cute is this picture?! Unfortunately Mia got a meezles immunization shot yesterday, so she's feeling a bit under the weather. She wouldn't sleep last night unless she was touching us. So we brought her into our bed for most of the night! It was the perfect excuse to cuddle with our little love bug. She seems to be doing better today, but is still running a 1 or 2 degree fever. Nothing that a little exercise at 'My Gym' class can't handle... Then, drum roll please, we have Mia's first haircut this afternoon!!!! Not really a cut, we just need to trim those bangs out of her eyes... Beauty parlor pictures to follow shortly.

Wife in Training!

It appears Momma is training our little Mia to be just as good in the kitchen! I can't wait to read the comments on this chauvenistic posting...

PS. Notice the bare feet!  Momma's training her right...

Pool Time with the Friends!

Mia & Daddy had fun relaxing in the pool with Russell & Sascha on Sunday. Sascha is a fantastic swimmer, and Mia had so much fun watching their dog, Marley, swim around in the pool. She had never seen a swimming puppy!

Fun, fun...

The fun never seems to end with Mia discovering all these new experiences... Like dipping your foot in the pool and then deciding to splash so much that your jammies are soaked head to toe! She & Sascha had a good old fashioned splash-a-thon! Of course Daddy would never encourage this sort of behavior... Heeee heeee

Can we swim too?!

Is this not the cutest picture in the world?!?! Russell & Daddy went for a swim on Sunday morning to shake the post party cob webs... The girls decided they needed to swim too, and promplty stripped down while they waited for the Mom's to bring their suits! So sweet...

Sleepover at Sascha's!

Sascha's Mom, Christine, threw a birthday party for Russell on Saturday night. We decided to go the distance and made it a family sleep over! We had a great time with them at the party, and then stayed for breakfast and a swim on Sunday ... Mia and Sascha not only enjoyed the yummy breakfast that Chrissy made, but they played so hard that Mia took a three and a half hour nap when we got home on Sunday afternoon! That's a new record.

Grandma Bonner!

Mia & Mommy got to have lunch with Trenna's Mom on Friday. Grandma Bonner has been so sweet & generous with Mia and Mommy said they had an absolute blast together... Mia is so lucky to have so many loving people in her life!

Playing in the Fountains!

Of course there can never be a day with no adventures when Mommy is around... Since there were no classes scheduled for Mia on Tuesday, Mommy & Mia decided to meet Heather & Angelina at Kierland, an outdoor mall, for a little play time in the fountains! Mia had a blast playing in the water and, as usual, was the main attraction...

Weekend in San Diego!

Last weekend we visited Aunt Caren, Uncle Pat and the cousins! Mia had so much fun that she was physically exhausted by the time we left on Sunday... Her knees were all scraped up from trying to keep up with her older cousins. She absolutely loves them!
