Routine - Some Things Never Change...

Mia is growing and changing so quickly, yet some things never change! Each morning, after Mia excitedly greets Mommy & Daddy, she assumes the pose seen above. Momma tucks her in on the couch with her special blanket, surrounds her with all her bears, and then gives her a nice warm cup of 'nuni'. (milk in mandarin) She takes the next 30 minutes to slowly wake up while she watches her favorite TV show, the Wiggles! In fact, Daddy just surprised his girls with tickets to see the Wiggles live in Las Vegas in July. I can't wait to see her little face... What a lover!

Pillow Fight!

Mommy went to book club tonight and left Mia & Daddy to tear up the house... First, we had a pillow fight! Then, we took all the cushions off the couch, covered them with blankets, and battled to see who could dive the furthest! Of course this was all against Daddy's instructions. She just wouldn't listen... heee heee. Rough life for the midget!

Good Afternoon!

Mia is growing up so quickly! It's truly amazing how fast the time goes. I'm frightened that I'll be walking her down the aisle next week... I know, I sound old. She long ago gave up her morning nap, but is still hanging strong with her afternoon nap! She isn't always enthusiastic about going down, but she always wakes up with a huge grin and her typical bubbly personality!! Here is a picture taken as we walked in to get her from her nap. As you can see, she's always happy to see Mommy & Daddy! You may also notice that she is beginning to outgrow her round crib. After much discussion and anxiety, it's time to move on up to the 'Big Girl Bed'... Each new phase is so exciting, but it's tough to let go of the moment, knowing she'll never be that baby again! She certainly is growing into a fine young woman though. It's amazing how polite she is. I'm fairly certain she never misses an opportunity to use 'please', 'thank you' or 'your welcome'. Hearing it in her cute little voice is the greatest! Did I mention that we're in love with this kid?!

Giggles!

Papa taught Mia how to make people laugh when they are having their picture taken! Here she is trying to distract her cousins... She has so much fun with her Grandfather. It's truly amazing the bond they've developed. For some reason she's very into guys! Let's hope this isn't a sign of issues to come... What a sweetie!

Easter Bunny Hugs!

For Easter we went to visit Grammy & Papa down in Tucson! It was a great weekend as all of Mia's cousins from San Diego came in with Pat & Caren. At brunch Mia got to hug the Easter Bunny after rolling around wrestling on the restaurant floor with Alec & Gavin... Craziness!

Passover!

Mia had her first Seder dinner at Russell & Christine's house tonight. We had a wonderful meal, and Mia welcomed Elijah for the first time... It was a great night!

Easter Egg Hunt!

Mommy took Mia to the train park today for an FCC Easter egg hunt. This is the first year she's really cognizant of what is going on, and is having a blast chasing eggs! Could she be cuter?!

Birthday Nap!

Daddy only wanted two things on his birthday: To take a bath with & then a nap with the midget! He got everything he wished for... Lucky Daddy!
