The End?

Sadly, it appears that our blog is now antiquated… With constant real time updating of Facebook, and Stacy's prolific posting, there doesn't seem to be much need for my posts any longer!  Makes me a little sad, and is another sign of how quickly we age.  Good news is that we are enjoying the hell out of life. Cheers!

Your last post, Stacey, triggered so many emotions for me.

I never saw your blog, just found it coincidentally through a web-search for "Mia Sara Blog" after having seen a clip of Ferris Bueller.

Your last post was like being thrown right into the credits of a very emotional movie with sentimental pictures of the deepest scenes.

Indeed - it made me realise how old we have become - When I think about it:
The internet in my youth did not even exist - photos were rare, not to even speak about blogging.

When we are youthful we utilised the newest tech excitedly - and just 9 years later it already is antiquated,
because your daughter herself uses even more modern versions - no one can blame her, because we did the same.

That reminded me me what the old monks tell about "non-attachment".
In each happiness and excitement there is also the sadness of the ending built in.

Just two days ago I had an all-nighter surfing for old friends and songs from Prince I heard when I was young, excitable and so vulnerable with many crises.
First I was disappointed to see that the old magic was gone, but after a few hours I realised what was going on:
I finally managed to put that chapter to a rest, letting go of my sentimental past.

This was a milestone for me, which did free up my life for living in the present again.
