Who Me?!

Mia is fairly close to perfecting her 'Who me?' look... Thought we'd share it for all to see the pleading innocence!

Diaper Change!

Mia is now mimicing everything that we do... She recently decided that if she needs her diaper changed, so must Betty Bear! Here is our little cutie making sure that Betty Bear is clean and fresh. Note the baby wipe in the foreground. She doesn't miss a beat...

Thank You Grandma!

As you'll notice, we're breaking tradition here for the first time. This picture doesn't include the Midget! That's right, we actually took a vacation without our little Princess... Grandma (Barb) was kind enough to fly in to Phoenix and stay with Mia while Mommy & Daddy went to Napa to attend Crush Camp. This was our first official time away from Mia. In fact, we were away for three whole nights, for the first time ever! While the Midget had an incredible time with her Grandma, Mommy & Daddy missed her tremendously... We had a blast with Aunt Cathy & Uncle Ryan, and drank a lot of great wine, but we sure were excited to get home to the love of our lives! Thank you for helping out Grandma, Mia already misses you...

Daddy's New Receptionist!

After an exhaustive search, Daddy has finally settled in on the appropriate new Receptionist. She fits all the qualifications: young, cute and smart as a whip! Let's just hope those cowgirl boots don't leave any prints. We all know how Daddy is with his Windex!!

Happy Gotcha Day Anniversay!

It's hard to believe, but Mia has actually been home for over a year now! To celebrate her anniversary we went to the Golden Bhudda for dim sum. As you can see, Mia was scarfing down the peas like usual. We had an incredible time celebrating as a family and are so in awe of the progress she has made in such a short time. Not only is she stunningly beautiful, but she's smart as hell! I realize nobody has ever heard me say that before... Plus, I'm a completely impartial observer.

MC Mia!

Here is our Midget giving her best Compton gangsta look! She has moved on from her shoe fetish and now loves hats and sun glasses as well. Tell me this kid isn't beautiful...

Dubman Visit!

Kenny & Kathleen flew all the way from NJ this past weekend with little Molly! We had a great visit and the girls had an absolute blast together. At one point Kenny & I were pushing the girls in strollers, side by side, and they reached out and began holding hands with each other while we were walking... It was amazing! Here are the Midgets partying down on Friday night.

FCC Waiting Families Event!

Stacy joined the board of the FCC (Families with Children from China) and has become very active. We recently hosted a 'Waiting Families' event at our home to let other couples who are still waiting for their children interact with some families who have been lucky enough to have already been joined with their kids. It's always interesting to meet others and hear of their experiences, and all of the little Chinese children are always so amazing! As you can imagine, Mommy did a fantastic job and hosted a spectacular event. Here are the hostesses with the mostesses...

Lazy Bones...

Yes, this is what our once pristine home has been reduced to... First, she takes everything out of the cupboards, scatters the Uno cards around the room, tears apart any other possible board games to be left for shrapnel, and then decides maybe she'll lay down for a rest! You gotta love this kid!

Harley Chicks!

Mia is so happy that Blaize & Madi are back from Montana. Here's the Midget showing Madi how she likes to ride on her Harley these days... She can even say Blaize & Madi's names when she sees their pictures on the fridge. Too cute!

Bear Rides with Papa!

Mia spent some quality time with Grammy & Papa today! Mommy & Daddy even got to go to the gym together this evening for the first time in 11 months... When we got home, Papa was giving Mia rides on Betty Bear. The Midget sure loves her Grandparents! I'm pretty sure they like her too...

Big Sister?!

It's official, Mia is going to be a big sister!! We recently received confirmation of our 'log in date' with the Chinese government. Yep, we'll be going back to China to get Mia a little sister... Unfortunately there is going to be quite a wait, but that's ok, if our next child is anything like Mia, we'd wait a lifetime! Plus, this just allows us to spend more quality time with the most amazing child on the planet... I thought I'd get a little nostalgic and throw in a photo of Mia from when she first came home. It's shocking how quickly she has grown from a baby to a beautiful little girl. Our Princess!

Big Girl Chair!

It's official, the Midget is now a big girl!! She hasn't been doing well in her high chair lately so we thought maybe she might be ready to graduate to joining us at the table. Aunt Ruth Ellen got us a great booster chair that Mia absolutely loves... In fact, today Mia walked over to the table, climbed up into her chair, buckled herself in and began beating her sippy cup on the table to let Momma know that she was ready for dinner! How adorable...

1st Labor Day!!

For Mia's first Labor Day we went to the Scottsdale Princess resort with Russell, Christine & Sascha Friend. Not only was it a great, relaxing way to spend Mia's first Labor Day, but we also got to celebrate Christine's 40th birthday! Or wait, was it 39?! (That was for you Christine...) They have a great pool and Mia absolutely freaked out over the water slide! As always, Mia & Sascha had a blast together, wrestling over each others stuffed animals and toys... Here are the Dads & Midgets waiting to head down to the pool.
